Tax forms arrive

A big shipment of forms has come in the past two days. We now have the main Federal forms, including 1040, schedules A&B, schedule D, 1040A, and 1040EZ. We also have the instruction books for 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ. Some have been put in the reading room.

We have received only one of the four publications books. We have not received reproducibles or CDs either.

It will be later in January before the Illinois forms arrive.

Of course, we can use the IRS website for most forms.

Job opportunity

If anyone is interested, Gloria Valentino of Indian Head Park has asked if anyone would be willing to help her organize her personal library for pay. She said that she works at the Salvation Army and can provide references for anyone who is interested. She was thinking of doing the job on a Saturday. Her phone is 708-246-5528.

Film Discussion Group 1/13

There were 14 people to see "Infernal Affairs." Good movie! It was such a success in Hong Kong that it might be remade by Martin Scorsese soon.

Street and San Man's Guide to not Showing Up

Dennis Foley didn't come for his talk tonight. In place we had a discussion about places that we like to eat, and Nancy asked people about their favorite ethnic eateries in neighborhoods.

I will call Lake Claremont Press tomorrow.

P.S. The group and I took his check and went to Taco Bell.

UPDATE: I left a message with our contact at Lake Claremont Press

Deselections

I deleted 54 items from the 300s and one from the 000s today.

Thanks.

Shared Documents

Now that there's a "Shared Documents" file, maybe we can put in it the "What We Didn't Have" file?
BTW, we don't have a recent book on Excel. The "Excel 2003 Bible" is missing, and everything else is 1997 or older.

Set the Clock

There's something messed up with the clock on this site. It has us posting messages after hours. Not a big deal, but if it's easy to fix, why not?
You can change the time on a single message, but it doesn't apply to others.

What We Didn't Have

Still can't find What We Didn't Have, but we don't have any soundtracks from Star Wars.
