Chicago Magazine October 2005 is missing from the reading room. It is in a binder so I am asking if anyone sees it or is reading it please let me know. We have had a couple of patrons looking for it. It is the issue about the Best Places to Live in the Chicago area.
If a patron wants to read that article I do have a copy of it behind the reference desk. They may read it in the library or copy it but I do not want it to go out.
Thanks!

There were 11 people at the season's first Book Discussion on Wednesday. Not everybody liked the book, The Plot Against America by Philip Roth (I did), but we had a really good discussion.
We finished the writing workshop yesterday and agreed to do it again in the Spring. I may have some volunteers willing to have their work posted on the website.

Aaron asked whether we could get a newer edition of America's Top Doctors. I checked Baker and Taylor and we do have the 2005 edition on back order. It was supposed to be out in September but still shows as not yet published.
There does not seem to be a new edition of the Chicago edition of Top Doctors.
Because I have gone to the LaGrange Public Library website 3 or 4 times to make maps for people, I made a supply of maps and have put it by the Internet registration forms on the top of the reference desk shelves.
If anybody is coming to Lio's party on Sat please let me know by calling 630-226-0041 or e-mail me at shannon@fordlibrary.org. Some people are coming late---so feel free! Shannon
Do we have plat maps of Western Springs? The only thing I know of that has that much detail is the Sanborn maps.
FYI
Chicago Consumer's Checkbook has a supplement-Guide to Top Doctors. It is a booklet and is next to the current issue of Chicago Consumer's Checkbook behind the reference desk. Also the Winter/Spring 2005 issue has the Top Dentists. That copy is in the stacks.
One of them is out. I hope the fire dept doesn't get mad. Can we tell Bullseye about this?
