Everyone,

We will have an adult services meeting on Wednesday, September 6 at 8:30 a.m. Our new librarian Kristin will be there. There will be plenty to discuss. Let me know if you can come.

Carolyn helped me get out invitations to the Zones 1-4 Reference Librarians' meeting, which will be held at Thomas Ford on Wednesday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. You may be getting calls from other libraries to let me know that librarians are coming.

Julie and I have put class schedules for College of DuPage and Governors State on the index table under the college reference books. There are also schedules for Lyons Township Adult and Community Education.

John is holding the end of summer reading party for teens this Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Spring Park in Western Springs, in the south barbecue area close to the skating rink.

There will be food and a drawing for prizes. Teens do not have to be present to win.

For days I have been trying to get my desk cleared so I could assemble the new computers. It dawned on me last night: use Aaron's old desk before Kristin takes occupancy. Why has it taken me so long? I did get them assembled and started preapring them on Saturday. I hope to have everything set to replace Reference Internet computers 1, 2, and 3 by midweek.

I have started to install the first of the new reference Internet computers. All is going well, except that I have not found the right formula for making them connect to the prointer yet. It is just almost there, but it won't actually send the job. It is probably one setting wrong somewhere. I am seeking help.
