MLS sent out the new Baker and Taylor agreement information a couple of days ago. Here are the new discounts:
Music CDs - 15% (for items up to $14.99 list price)
- 25% (for items $15 to 24.99)
- 30% (for items over $30)
DVDs - 26.1%
Games - 10%
Adult Trade Hardcover books - 43.5%
Juvenile Trade Hardcover - 43.5%
Adult and Juvenile Quality Paperbacks - 40%
Mass Market Paperbacks - 40%
Single edition reinforced (Juvenile) - 35%
Publisher's Library editions (Juvenile) - 18.5%
University Press Trade Editions - 10%
Textbooks, reference, technical, small press, and limited demand books - 0% or 5%
The graduated discounts on the music CDs result in a list price $14.99 CD costing us $12.74 and a list price $15.99 CD costing us $11.99, according to my calculations.
