Our Pledge to Protect Your Privacy

Thank you for visiting us online at the Thomas Ford Memorial Library website. We are committed to protecting and safeguarding patron privacy on the Internet, especially that of children. We respect the trust patrons have placed in their community library and honor that trust in all facets of our services. The Thomas Ford Memorial Library (the "Library") is pleased to provide information to all of its patrons concerning its online privacy policy. Please be assured that the Library strives to protect the privacy of visitors to its website.

Our Restrictions on Use of Personal Information

The Library will only gather personal information, such as names, addresses, and email addresses when voluntarily submitted by our patrons on our website. The Library does not sell, transfer, or disclose personal information to third parties that are not a part of the Metropolitan Library System except as may be required by law. With the patron's permission, the Library may, on occasion, send information regarding library activities such as programs offered or materials recently added to the collection. Patrons may be asked if they wish to receive such information via the Library's website. Personal information provided to the library in conjunction with this will not be shared.

Our Cookie Policy

The Library's website may use "cookies" (pieces of information that a website transfers to an individual's computer hard drive for record-keeping purposes) to make use of the website more convenient or to track the number of visitors on an anonymous aggregate basis. The Library does not use cookies to collect user information from its site.
