You guessed it--we have books! What you might not know is that we have an excellent collection of films on DVD; music on CD; audiobooks on tape, CD, and for an iPod; magazines & newspapers, online databases, and microfilm. Below is a brief description of our books. Navigate the menu on the left to learn about the rest of our collection, how to search the catalog or how to check your library account.
It's all on display in the alcove at the front of the library. We order bestsellers, genre fiction, literary fiction, and more. Brand new mysteries, science fiction, and romance titles are also displayed here. Next to the Circulation Desk is the "Your Lucky Day" collection where you might find a bestseller just waiting for you to check it out - no waiting list required.
Our new nonfiction, organized by Dewey number, is the place to find biographies, books on travel, politics, history, crafts, business, and more!
Mysteries, Science Fiction, and Large Type collections are shelved in the Reading Room, organized by author's last name. The rest of our adult fiction, shelved on the main floor in adult services, is also organized by author's last name. Mass market paperbacks are separated and are found at the beginning of the fiction collection.
It's organized by the Dewey Decimal System, except biographies are separated and shelved according to the person who the book's about, e.g., Audrey Hepburn's biographies are under B/HEP.
Near the Reference Desk, you'll find our reference book collection. There are some really great research resources for use here in the library. Anything in the collection can be photocopied if you need to take it home for further study.
