An Evening at the Opera

Please join us to preview the 2010-2011 Lyric Opera season at our annual Evening at the Opera.

An Evening at the Opera Janet Mensen Reynolds and members of Chicago’s Lyric Opera Chorus return for a festive evening of story and song. The quartet will sing selections from upcoming productions, including Carmen, The Mikado, Hercules, The Girl of the Golden West, and Lohengrin . This will be the 14th year that the Library has sponsored the Lyric Opera preview concert, which is presented to the community as a gift from the Elmer and Pauline Kennedy family.

This year's cast includes:

  • Janet Mensen Reynolds, mezzo-soprano
  • Rose Guccione, soprano
  • Kenneth Donovan, tenor
  • Robert Morrissey, bass
  • Patrick Holland, accompanist

Please note that to accommodate a larger audience, Evening at the Opera will be held at the First Congregational Church of Western Springs. The concert will last approximately two hours with one intermission. A reception is held after the concert in the church parlor. Everuone is invited.
