Join us for delicious pizza and a selection of board games and card games IRL! 

Interested in learning about American Mah Jongg and how to play? Join this instructional program where tiles and cards will be provided and participants will learn how to set up and play the game. No experience necessary.  

Come, listen to a reading of Kenard Pak’s Goodbye Winter, Hello Spring. Afterwards, we will complete a paper plate spring craft to take home.

Come join our Mah Jongg group for a relaxed setting to play, knowledge of the game or prior experience required. Players will be sorted by self-ranked skill level and questions are welcome.

Learn all about chess or brush up on your chess skills with The Piece Project director Theo Han and high school student chess players.  All skill levels are welcome. Grades 2-8. 

Come learn about the birds of our great state. Make your own binoculars, then go on a bird-watching adventure to find the Illinois birds nesting in the Youth Services Department.

If you are looking to earn some volunteer hours, now is your chance! Join us and get 2 hours completed on LTHS's student non-attendance day.

Face off against your friends in this fun nautical game! Sail your way through 5 different game modes, including races and sumo mode! Snacks will be provided. 

We’ll share the story Hope in a Jar by Deborah Marcero and decorate our own hope jars to take home.

Add some springtime color and sparkle outside your window with a handmade beaded windchime. Snacks will be provided.

Bring your favorite stuffed animal and come listen to a reading of Mark Sperring’s book Daddy Lion’s Tea Party. Afterwards, we will make a zoo animal craft to take home.

We’ll build our own craft stick catapults and compare how far we can fling different objects.

Compete in challenges from 13 classic Nintendo games like Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, and The Legend of Zelda. Snacks will be provided.

Come meet Pippin the therapy dog and read some great books about dogs! Teen Board members will be on hand to read to kids in Pre-K to 1st grade. 

Join us to learn how you can make your community safer for migrating birds. We'll create some bird-inspired art and you'll get a window decal kit to take home.

Bring your ideas and imagination to the Library to create a LEGO model! The Library will provide LEGO bricks for this program.
